Late summer tipi wedding | Norfolk, UK

The marriage of Lucy and Stephan, from Swiss and Scottish heritage, is one those memorable occasions I have ever attended. It afforded great joy and mirth to every member of the procession. It is an unforgettable experience. The wedding took place in the Framingham Pigot, a beautiful English village in south Norfolk. I was so delighted to have been the photographer of this occasion.

I documented Lucy’s getting ready session at Langley Grange, Loddon, Norwich, a beautiful country house where she was surrounded by her family and bridesmaids. Her little cousins warmed up the lodge with their fun activities in the swimming pool, and the family dogs could not be avoided as they fit into every activity going on, giving a perfect family occasion.

Makeup was by Amanda Steed. Lucy was styled in a delightful Mikaella 2016 dress, and completed her look with a Britten wedding veil which complimented and flaunted the excellent part in her hair and dress.

She then proceeded to the ceremonial ground at St Andrews church, where her lovely husband to be was already waiting for her. Feeling a little nervous like every couple will be on this day, Lucy became calmer when she saw her Steph as she walks into the church alongside her Dad.

It was a beautiful day for a wedding at the St. Andrews church. Lucy and Stephan, their families and friends all gathered for the ceremony. Their friends were excited to see them getting married and all looked forward to the day that they would be at the altar.

The priest recited verses from the scriptures, the couple embraced each other and I was busy taking photographs. The family dog Bruno, the Bernese mountain dog made a star appearance by pulling a cart full of confetti outside the church, from which everyone threw at the couple as they move out of the church, was one of the memorable moments of the day.

I took so many adoring pictures of the couple, with friends and family members outside the church before we proceeded to the reception venue. You could see love all over them as they exchange hugs with friends and family members, and even from the lens of my camera, I could feel their heartbeat as they kiss each other every now and then.

The reception took place at Stephan’s parents’ house. One of the most significant scenes at the reception ground was the hoisting of the Swiss and Scottish flag to show the union between this two people. Decoration beggared description. The garden was transformed into a paradise, with fairy lights, flowers and buntings decorating the lawn and it looked as if it were a place in paradise. The seating arrangement was inside a big tipi which received everyone.

It was a whole lot of fun at the reception ground, from cutting of the cake to dancing. Friends and family members enjoyed themselves, into the beautiful night lights of the arena, which gave an exquisite look of the garden.
