Sophie and David had to reschedule their wedding twice due to the pandemic. Not only did they have to replan their wedding within 10 weeks notice and constantly change arrangements according to the latest Covid restrictions, but they were also in the midsts of moving house and Sophie was nearing the end of completing her Masters degree. It was hectic for them to say the least but they pulled through and finally got to exchange their vows under a beautiful vintage-themed floral arch on the third – and last – reschedule.
The wedding took place at Manor of Hurst and since the couple’s accommodations were also on the grounds, we had the luxury of having extra time to spend on taking preparation photos rather than dashing from one venue to the next. The most memorable moment for me was seeing Sophie’s father and step-father’s reaction when they first saw Sophie in her wedding dress. The pride in their eyes and their beaming smiles were of pure joy.
Both dads walked Sophie down the aisle where Max, Sophie and David’s dog, was obediently waiting beside David at the top. Vows were exchanged, a flurry of confetti celebrated the happy occasion and guests dined and danced under an elegant, open marquee whilst children enjoyed themselves on the giant bouncy castle.
I managed to whisk the happy couple away for some intimate photos amongst the elderflowers that were growing in abundance in the gardens and of course, Max couldn’t resist a special appearance before he decided to take a quick dip in the pond.
Here are some shots from the bridal preparation, the ceremony and the party.
Congratulations again, Sophie and David!
