Earlier this year, I went on a shoot organised by Esme (a fellow photographer friend) and shot the gorgeous Mila dress by Made With Love. For the shoot, I wanted to portray a dreamy vibe. To showcase the beautiful beaded dress, I incorporated movements within the shot. When the light hits the beads, the reflection casts a dreamy look. We shot until sunset to get that perfect soft glow light with the stunning floral arrangement provided by the talented Emma Cox Floristry.
Dresses by Made With Love are simply made with love. Carla Jenkins, its founder, started the business when she herself couldn’t find the dress that fits the vision of her very own wedding. So she created her own and before she knew it, she befriended the seamstress and worked on custom-made wedding dresses together.
For brides, what they look for in a perfect wedding dress is something that can accentuate the delicate curves of the body. A dress that can get the attention of the whole ceremony and make the groom smile in pride or cry in happiness as the bride descends down the aisle. This dress, when worn by the bride, will make every married lady in the crowd go, “Gosh, I wish I had worn that dress on my wedding day!”
Mila is the embodiment of what the bride is looking for in the previous statements. From its beaded fabric that clings to the body layered with a bodice that drops softly to the waist as a skirt, to the beaded shoestring strap that prevents the dress from falling down due to its open back, down to the soft and delicate sheer train that looks like it glides and follows you wherever you go. It even floats on water! This dress is definitely a dress you’ll keep your eyes on. What stands out about this dress is the fact that it’s so daring and bold but still has its reservations. A dress that can be worn by all the brides in the world with any kind of body type, this dress by Made With Love is truly a beauty of its own.
